A brief discussion concerning usability in open source. Despite views to the contrary, open source can be seen as a great testing ground for usability work.

Worked until gone 6.00am last night trying to suss out the model fitting for the thesis, and I think (at last!) that I have a solution that steps around a) the various models, and b) the statistical issues (regression to the mean of the scale). I'll check with Steve to see if it's okay, and although it only uses a fraction of the data we have, it does seem to offer something of interest. ( Read more... )
